Quality of News

Reuters claims to have 15,000 staff in 91 countries, thus, providing hot information from all parts of the globe. So, it is no wonder that all news are fresh and are uploaded regularly. Reuters seems to show particular interest in electronic market trading (it is mentioned several times in the “About us” section), that’s why there are lots of news about Forex on the website. The only disadvantage is though they need to be sorted by date, they are not. But it is the problem of navigation, not related to the quality of news, which is, beyond all doubts, excellent.

There are several traditional sections, news are devided into and it is worth mentioning that there is an “Investing” section, which is usually lacking on other news websites (excluding financial ones).

Apart from News

Though Reuters is a news agency, it features a very interesting page called “Reuters Financial Products”. There visitors will find the following sections: “Sales and Trading” which contains some educational material and more, “Enterprise Solution” (Enterprise Information, Trade and Risk Management and a lot more) and “Research and Asset Management” (Investment Management and Research, Investment Banking and Research, Wealth Management).

Becides, there is a Reuters Customer Zone, where they seem to give even more information for financial market customers, but it is not of free access.

Site Design and Ease of Navigation Comments

The design is mostly nice. Navigation is absolutely easy. News from the most popular sections have their headlines on the main news page.

It is a pleasant surprise, that such a popular website is not overloaded with advertisement. But this could be caused by the fact, that the company doesn’t want to stain it’s perfect reputation.

• A fair amount of information is dedicated to finance

Disadvantages

• There is a little mistake with news sorting.
